Pioneer Hi-Bred Donates $25,000 to Pioneers In Education

The Pioneer in Education (PiE) Alliance is pleased to accept a $25,000 grant from Pioneer Hi-Bred, a DuPont business.

Alexandria VA, July 5, 2007-The Pioneer in Education (PiE) Alliance is pleased to accept a $25,000 grant from Pioneer Hi-Bred, a DuPont business. The award will support the Pioneer Student Leadership Academy (PSLA) 2007, held at George Washington University, Washington DC, 4-14 June 2007. Sponsored by the PIE Alliance, PSLA is a residential leadership training and long-term mentoring program for underserved and underrepresented college students. 

The grant will specifically, fund a major portion of the mentoring program and sponsor five scholars for the residential segment of the academy. The PiE Alliance is an educational partnership with the mission of preparing college students for entry into the 21st Century workforce. Alliance partners include Pioneer Hi-Bred, DuPont, Enlightened Corporation and the Page One Foundation. For more information visit pioneersineducation.org.
